But gel is much more forgiving with uneven texture, glitters, etc.

The biggest game changer for me was using the base and activator/solidify from whatever brand, and using UV gel base coat and top coat on top.

Totally solid colors make it easier to show topcoat texture issues. When I started I had trouble getting the glossy topcoat to be perfectly smooth and even. I would recommend shimmers for your first ones.
#Sparkle and co dip Activator
I’ve had issues with the bottles gluing shut and uneven topcoat application - partially because of the remaining activator on the nails (which needs to be there to fully cure the topcoat). Lastly, I saw in a comment that it felt like spring cleaning, and while I do agree that this month wasn’t my fave, these are all newly released colors for the sub bag, so they aren’t old colors that they’re clearing out.Sparkle liquids were my first and they’re not bad. Like replied to my message on Saturday and I had shipping notice on Monday.

I actually received 2 of one color and didn’t receive the topper and they made it right immediately. I don’t follow too closely so I’m not sure about people that may have gotten it but I got the matte coat and gel protect. They posted the correction pretty quickly to the FB groups and I think I saw it on Instagram too. I can totally understand your frustration with not receiving the peel base, but I don’t think that peel base was posted as a spoiler anywhere online, and while the mis-print is a pretty big mistake, I can understand it. I would expect most companies would make some effort no matter how small to make it right, but no effort was made and the blame shifted to their own customers. My brain knows this is a small issue, but for some reason I am disappointed in how it was handled, probably bc I feel dismissed. And they refuted the folks who posted in their fb group stating they received peel base this month implying that they were confused about what products they received. They were very kind, and again reiterated they had made a mistake on the insert. seemingly promptly replied to me in response to my post here. I’m a girl who makes up my own mind but am I wrong to be upset?ĮDIT:: Sparkle and co. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt despite the negative comments I’ve read on here. Has anyone else experienced this with sparkle and co? I’m torn bc I love their colors and products but if I can’t rely on them to be an honest, transparent & trustworthy company, I’m not sure I can do business with them. Which bothers me a lot and when added to their censorship of their fb groups (you can’t post anything without the moderators approving it first- so nothing negative can ever be said or shared- which means there is no real information being shared in the group) and the omission of any contact number just raises so many red flags. To me this reads as a company who made a mistake and isn’t willing to own up to it. Second, how is it others claimed to have received peel base if it was a “typo”?
#Sparkle and co dip professional
Now… first off how does a professional company intentionally send out an insert with listed products they know to be wrong? Or do they not pay attention to those details?

So I messaged the company (bc they don’t provide a phone number) and they promptly responded explaining to me that there was a “typo” on the insert, and it should have read matte liquid and not peel base. Additionally, others stated in the ‘subscription only fb group’ that they received peel base this month. Insignificant to most perhaps but I really needed the peel base and will never use the matte. This is my first month and I’m frustrated as I received a “matte” finish liquid with my powders but the insert stated peel base would be included NOT matte. With the cost of living rising exponentially, the monthly subscription is my allotted $$ for dip powders. So I signed up for the monthly subscription for sparkle and co honestly bc I love their product, but I’m leery of their business practices.
