God loves freeing His people from strongholds, demons, and bondage, just as he did in the Bible. Mariam’s story is just one of many stories we hear at DCPI of God delivering people today. Since that day, her menstrual flow started, and she was delivered from the demonic oppression that had kept her in bondage for three years. When she got up, she said that she now knew that there was power in prayer–power in God. This went on for almost an hour before she fell down on the ground. However, when they asked her where the fire was, she said that her whole body felt like it was on fire. But, when she got home, she started screaming, “fire, fire, fire.” Her family was afraid, thinking that their house was on fire. The service concluded, and she headed home. God’s power showed up that night and completely changed her life. However, the third day was “Holy Ghost Power Night,” when the leaders of the church worship and praise, asking God to show up powerfully in the church and in the lives of the people. The first day she came to the church, pastors prayed for her but she did not experience any change. When she came to the church for prayers, she recognized that her difficulty menstruating was related to a demon that had been possessing her for three years. This unique oppression meant that, not only would Miriam be childless, but she would be socially ostracized. In fact, a DCPI church in Guinea Conakry recently experienced this firsthand!Īt Grace of God International Ministry Church, a woman named Mariam was delivered from a demonic possession that had kept her from menstruating for three years. From Moses at the Exodus from Egypt, to Daniel in the lion’s den, to Jesus delivering us from sin and death on the cross, God has shown that He is a faithful and powerful Deliverer! The same God who delivered people throughout history is alive and working today, and he still sends His Holy Spirit to deliver his people from the Evil One.
